Last week, insider Daniel Richtman revealed that Sony is looking for actors with Middle Eastern accents to work on a new God of War game set in Egypt.

This message did not seem surprising, because in the last two parts appeared unambiguous hints that Kratos will go to Egypt, and the developers themselves considered this setting when creating God of War (2018).

But authoritative insider and journalist Tom Henderson gave alternative information.

Here's What We Know

On the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, Henderson revealed that he has heard that the events of the new God of War instalment may take place in Greece again, as it will be a prequel to the original trilogy.

Henderson's source revealed that the story will allegedly focus on a young Kratos and his relationship with his father, Zeus. The journalist is not 100% sure of the information received and asks to treat this news as a rumour.

Earlier there were insides that Sony is preparing remasters or full remakes of the first three parts of God of War, so it is possible that we are talking about one of these projects, and not a full-fledged new game, especially since the prequel has already been.
