Xiaomi announces a miniature temperature sensor with a battery that lasts up to three years
Xiaomi has announced a new gadget - the Mijia Smart Temperature and Humidity Sensor 3 Mini.

This is a small, compact gadget that will measure the temperature and humidity in a room with high accuracy: the temperature - with a deviation of up to 0.1°C, and humidity - with an accuracy of up to 1%.
The model, called Mijia Smart Temperature and Humidity Sensor 3 Mini, promises to be interesting for its low price, long battery life, and compact size. Initially, the device will be available only in China, but there is a possibility that it will eventually appear on the international market or become available for import.

The new sensor has compact dimensions of 53 x 45.3 x 13 mm and can measure temperature and humidity. The data can be viewed not only on the device itself but also on other gadgets via Bluetooth Mesh. If you connect this sensor to other devices via Bluetooth Mesh, you can integrate it into a smart home system to automatically control temperature and humidity (for example, to set up heaters or air conditioners).
The main feature of the sensor is its affordability and durability. It runs on a CR2450 battery that should last for three years, making it cost-effective.
For now, the sensor will only be available in China through Xiaomi's YouPin platform, where it can be purchased at a very low price of approximately $4. However, when the product is released internationally, the price is likely to be higher.
