Huge locations, stylish weapons and less text - new details of DOOM: The Dark Ages revealed

Shooter DOOM: The Dark Ages has been the main topic of the latest issue of Edge magazine, thanks to which additional details of the ambitious game from id Software are revealed.
Here's What We Know
The developers reminded that the game will be a prequel to the 2016 shooter and Doom Eternal.
The protagonist of The Dark Ages is much less agile than in past games and he will not have access to double-jump and swift dash, instead of these techniques a shield-saw is used, which will allow you to both shorten the distance with enemies, and overcome obstacles, and saw demons, and even solve puzzles.

In DOOM: The Dark Ages developers will offer a huge selection of melee and ranged weapons, and some of the items presented in the previous parts will be changed in favour of the new style, which, let's remind, refers to gothic and medieval motifs.
Each chapter of the game is divided into acts, and passing through the levels will take about an hour, but with additional content it will take much more time. The Dark Ages will offer the largest locations in the history of the series.
As for the backstory, unlike Doom Eternal, where it was presented in the form of text notes, in the new game the main events will be shown and spoken by the characters.
When We Can Expect It
DOOM: The Dark Ages will release on 15 May on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be available immediately on Game Pass.
