iPhone 17: Final renders confirm new camera and body design

New CAD images of the iPhone 17 confirm the rumours of a change in camera design in Apple's upcoming lineup. A leak from a well-known insider Sonny Dixon shows that some models will have a horizontal camera unit similar to the Google Pixel.
Here's What We Know
In particular, the renders show the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, which is rumoured to replace the Plus model. Due to its slimmer body, it may only get one camera, which may limit the ability to shoot spatial video. However, Apple is likely to use a 48-megapixel sensor, similar to the one in the iPhone 16, which will allow for high-quality photos and 4K video.
In the premium models of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, Apple seems to be abandoning the traditional square camera module. Instead, there will be a large aluminium block that will stretch across the entire width of the back panel.
Everyone seems to be sharing the same iPhone 17 CAD, so I thought I'd share the ones I've seen. Do we like this design? pic.twitter.com/IttxjgDhnb

The triangular arrangement of the three main cameras will remain on the left side of the module, but the flash, LiDAR and microphone will move to the right. This decision can be not only aesthetic, but also functional - the new design will allow for more even heat distribution and reduce the protrusion of the camera.
If you're not ready for radical changes, the standard iPhone 17 may be good news. Renders show that it will retain the classic dual camera layout, making it a more familiar option for users who don't want to get used to a wide module.
When to expect the iPhone 17
Most sources indicate that the iPhone 17 series will debut in September 2025. Since CAD images usually appear in the final stages of development, it is unlikely that Apple will change the final design.
More detailed specifications and features of the new line will be revealed closer to the presentation.
