The summer release of FBC: Firebreak is slowly approaching and Remedy continues to share new details about the game's gameplay.

Here's What We Know

In the latest Community Look, the developers talked about crisis kits, tasks and tools, and in a new PlayStation Blog post, Community Manager Julius Fondem introduced another unique mechanic - Altered Augments - experimental modifications that give Bureau agents powerful but unpredictable abilities.

Each Crisis Kit contains a tool, an improvised device, and an augment that opens up a special opportunity. They have not yet been tested, but the Bureau has no choice - the situation is critical. As the Foundation jokingly said, "What could go wrong?"

Among the available augments is Garden Gnome (AI9). In combination with the Electro-Kinetic Charge Impactor, it creates a lightning storm that not only damages and stuns enemies, but also drains their batteries. Piggy Bank (AI16) is used in conjunction with a wrench to create a paranatural tornado of coins that returns to the owner after being attacked and regenerates itself. And Teapot (AI44) connects to the Crank-Operated Fluidic Ejector, heating water to critical temperatures and causing burns to enemies, as well as preventing the tool from overheating.

However, these augments also have a downside. Some can harm allies, and the changes associated with Teapot completely disable the ability to remove negative effects, with the exception of Cold.

Where To Play

The game will be available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC, as well as in the Game Pass and PlayStation Plus catalogue.
