Lovecraft's Nightmares on Unreal Engine 5: Frogwares Studios has announced a remaster of The Sinking City

Ukrainian studio Frogwares is actively working on The Sinking City 2. At the moment there is a campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds for this game, and while the developers have revealed another surprise for fans of not only their own creativity, but also games based on Howard F. Lovecraft's works.
Here's What We Know
Frogwares announced that it is developing a remaster of the first part of The Sinking City (2019).
This game was created on Unreal Engine 4 and was full of flaws, bugs and strange mechanics. Now the authors intend to significantly improve it and transfer it to the modern Unreal Engine 5, thanks to which the following improvements will be possible:
- high-resolution textures (up to 4K) and improved reflections will appear;
- increased detail of locations, characters and objects of the game;
- high-quality lighting;
- photo mode;
- support for DLSS, FSR and TSR technologies;
- fixes for various bugs and general improvements to the game.








No release date for The Sinking City Remastered has been announced, but it is known that the remaster will be available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and PC, and those who already have the game will get the updated version for free.
Frogwares also offers an interesting interactive experience: everyone can record their voice saying "Yes", send the recording to the studio and one hundred random voices will form a choir that will praise the ancient deity Yog-Sothoth, and the names of the participants will be mentioned in the credits.
