Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will be in short supply because of Snapdragon 888+ and more

Immediately after the premiere of Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, it became clear that it would be difficult to buy the smartphone. Pre-orders sold out in a few minutes. High demand is not the only problem of the flagship.

What happened?

The situation around the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 was commented by Liu Weibing, one of the vice presidents of the company. The top executive said that two components are missing at once for the smooth production of the smartphone.

First, Xiaomi is experiencing an acute shortage of Snapdragon 888+ single-chip processor. Secondly, the company does not have enough ceramic back panels. Liu Weibing additionally pointed out that a single ceramic backplate costs on average five times more than a glass backplate.

When the manufacturer can solve this problem, the manager did not specify. But he promised that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will go on sale in time for August 16.
