No more cheap flagships - Snapdragon 898 and Dimensity 2000-powered smartphones will start at $775

Every year, the cost of smartphones increases. This is especially noticeable in the models of Xiaomi, which is famous for cheap devices. While in 2019 the Xiaomi Mi 9 cost €499 in Europe, a year later the Mi 10 model was priced at €799 and the Pro version at €999.

Rising prices for flagship smartphones will continue in 2022. This is the opinion of the well-known Chinese network informer Digital Chat Station. Top-end processors for models based on Android will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 and MediaTek Dimensity 2000, made on the norms of 4-nanometer technology.

According to the insider, the next-generation flagship smartphones, which will start appearing en masse in 2022, will cost at least ¥5,000 or $775 in China. Naturally, the price will be even higher in Europe. Recall, $610 for the Xiaomi Mi 11 in the Celestial Empire turned into €749-799, and $1,000 for the Ultra version turned into €1,199.
