Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max doesn't stand a chance in the battery life test
AnandTech has published the results of iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max battery life tests, comparing them with the performance of other smartphones. Apple's most expensive flagship has become the undisputed leader, leaving no chance to its counterparts, nor to Android models.
In the new generation of smartphones the company from Cupertino significantly increased the capacity of the battery. It had a positive impact on battery life indicators, even despite the emergence of 120 Hz refresh rate support in older models.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a battery life of over 21 hours and 30 minutes while surfing the web at 90 Hz with Wi-Fi turned on. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro also made it into the top 3, managing to last about 5 hours less.
They were just slightly behind the trio of ASUS gaming smartphones (ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone III and ROG Phone II). The first Samsung model was only on the 7th line. So, the Snapdragon 888-powered Galaxy S21 Ultra lasted almost 16 hours, lasting about 20 minutes longer than the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Apple's third new product is only at the top of the top four. It, after working for almost 11 hours, managed to bypass the iPhone Xs Max. As for the previous generation smartphones, only the iPhone 12 Pro (~13 hours) and iPhone 12 (~12 hours and 30 minutes) are on the list.
When activating the maximum refresh rate, the iPhone 13 Pro Max lasted about 3 hours less, but still retained the top spot. Moreover, this would have been enough for the second position in the previous test. the iPhone 13 Pro remained third with a reading of 14 hours and 12 minutes, skipping ahead of the ASUS ROG Phone 5. The top five also included the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the recent Xiaomi 11T.
All five devices support 120Hz refresh rate. The first model with the 90Hz display is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, while the one with the 144Hz display is the ASUS ROG Phone III. Both lasted just under 13 hours. But it's worth noting that Xiaomi's flagship is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery, while the ROG Phone III uses a 6,000mAh battery.
