MIUI 13 will get two versions and some innovations
Xiaomi has managed to announce two firmware versions at once in 2020: MIUI 12 and MIUI 12.5. The latter received an optimized Enhanced version a few months ago, and very soon the manufacturer will start testing MIUI 13.
What is known
Chinese sources report that you should not expect much from MIUI 13. The company will start testing the software this year, and the stable version will appear only in 2021. Moreover, the flagship model Xiaomi 12, which is expected in December, may go on sale with pre-installed shell MIUI 12.5.
Users depending on the smartphone will be available different versions of the firmware. New models will get a shell based on the Android 12 operating system. Perhaps not immediately out of the box. Older solutions will only have to make do with Android 11. First of all we are talking about smartphones in 2019, but the owners of last year's budget models, too, Android 12 is not worth counting on. For example, Redmi 9.
In MIUI 13 we will see an updated user interface, but a large number of new features can not wait. One of the main innovations will be that the new software revision will offer users support for Memory Fusion technology right out of the box. Also don't forget about iOS style widgets.
