Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2: the first projector supporting Dolby Vision in 4K resolution

Xiaomi has introduced a new premium projector called Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2, and its main feature is Dolby Vision support.

What can it do?

Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 is able to project an image ranging in size from 40 to 200 inches, including 100 inches from a distance of 20 cm from the wall. But the manufacturer advises using a diagonal of 80 to 150 inches. As a result you get 4K resolution content (3840×2160 pixels). Support for HDR10, Dolby Vision and MEMC (60Hz) is also claimed.

As for the "stuffing", the projector features a MediaTek MT9669 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. There are also microphones for the Xiao AI virtual assistant and 30W speakers (2 15W units) with Dolby Atmos and DTS Sound support.

The device runs MIUI for TV with all the features and content found on smart TVs Xiaomi and Redmi.

How much?

The Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 projector has been priced in China at $2345. Whether it will enter international market - is not yet known.
