Hacker stole $ 31,000,000 from MonoX cryptocurrency project
A few hours ago we wrote about the hacking of the BadgerDAO protocol, as a result of which the attackers stole more than $ 120 million. Other hackers added a headache to the creators of the MonoX project.
What is known
Accounting errors in the MonoX Finance software gave hackers the ability to quickly increase the value of the project's own cryptocurrency and cash out other deposited tokens with it. The total damage caused by the vulnerability made up $ 31,000,000.
Hackers were able to withdraw about 3900 Ethereum coins worth $ 18,200,000, a little over 36 Bitcoin tokens for almost $ 2,000,000, 5.7 million Polygon for $ 10,500,000. In addition, the attackers stole Tether for $ 9,100,000, USD Coin for $ 8,200 000 and internal tokens of the project for $ 240,000.
