Apple took the lead in 5G smartphones in the third quarter of 2021, according to a report from Strategy Analytics. It accounts for about a quarter of the global 5G smartphone industry. And such popularity is not surprising - in September the company released the iPhone 13 family, and also reduced prices for last year's generation.
The second place is taken by Xiaomi. But compared to the same period last year, the results for the third quarter of 2021 have stalled.
Samsung is stepping on Xiaomi's heels, with the South Korean giant steadily closing the gap. If it moves at such a pace, according to the results of the fourth quarter, Xiaomi may give up its place to a competitor.
