German in Tesla Model S drove 1.5 million km - had to change three batteries and four engines
Hansjörg von Gemmingen, a German driver, was able to cover 1.5 million km in a Tesla Model S electric car.
What is known
The German acquired the vehicle in 2014. At that time, the Tesla Model S had a mileage of approximately 500 km. Seven years later, the driver was able to cover 1.5 million km. He spent € 13,000 on maintenance. At the same time, the last maintenance of his car took place after overcoming the mark of 900,000 km.

In seven years, Hansjörg von Gemmingen managed to replace the electric motor four times, change two 12-volt batteries, and install new shock absorbers, a front axle and a touchscreen display in the cabin. In addition, Tesla Model S has got three new batteries. The residual capacity of the last battery is 86%.
