Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said the company's technology will play an important role in the AI computing boom.
Here's What We Know
Intel has made strides in manufacturing solutions and software development tools for artificial intelligence, Gelsinger said. Opportunities will grow as AI spreads to PCs, he added.
Gelsinger believes the use of artificial intelligence will go beyond cloud data centres relying on Nvidia chips to encompass the PC market.
He also confirmed plans for accelerated manufacturing modernisation. Intel's Intel 3 process technology will be ready at the end of 2023, Gelsinger claimed.
The Gaudi2 range has benefits for artificial intelligence, he said, and the new Intel Core Ultra processors will get neural processing units to accelerate AI applications on PCs. The first versions of these chips will be available as early as December.
