AI binoculars with bird and animal recognition unveiled at CES 2024
Swarovski Optik

At CES 2024, Swarovski Optik showcased a new model of binoculars with artificial intelligence support. These AX Visio binoculars can automatically recognise over 9,000 species of birds and other animals.

Here's What We Know

When an object comes into focus, all you have to do is press a button - and after 5 seconds, the display will show the specific species. An in-built neural processor is used for recognition.

In addition, the binoculars are equipped with cameras for photos and videos, as well as GPS to determine the user's location. There are additional functions like marking interesting objects for friends.

On the one hand, such technology makes bird and wildlife watching much easier. On the other hand - the price of $4799 makes these binoculars unaffordable for most amateurs.

Sales of AX Visio will start in February this year.
