Unexpectedly! Google releases Android 14 Developer Preview for Pixel smartphones
Google has unexpectedly released the first build of Android 14 Developer Preview.
Here's What We Know
There are no drastic changes to the firmware yet. For example, the developers have installed a February patch on the system, redesigned the Security and Privacy section, improved the battery saving UI, returned screen usage information to the Battery Usage section, and installed a menu with connection preferences for Fast Pair feature. More innovations Google plans to add in future builds of the system.
When We Can Expect It
Android 14 Developer Preview can already be installed by Pixel smartphone owners. Google plans to release another developer build in March and then will open beta testing of the system, which will last for four months. A stable release of Android 14 is planned for August-September.
