Google unveiled its first smart watch - Pixel Watch with Wear OS 3.5, GPS, NFC, SpO2 and ECG function, priced from $350

Following the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones, Google announced its first ever smart watch. It was predictably named the Google Pixel Watch.

Here's What We Know

The novelty is equipped with a 41-mm round AMOLED display with a pixel density of 320 ppi and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The screen supports Always-on technology and is protected by fifth-generation Gorilla Glass.

The watch case is made of stainless steel and has 5ATM protection, which provides the ability to be submerged under water to 50 meters. To control the device on the right side there is an analogue of the Digital Crown wheel.

The Google Pixel Watch is powered by an Exynos 9110 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The battery of 294 mA*h is enough to work for a day without recharging. In half an hour, the battery charges up to 50%.

Fall detection is a smart feature worth noting, but it will be activated only in 2023. The technology will allow the watch to automatically call emergency services. Also Google Pixel Watch can track heart rate, take ECG readings and determine the level of oxygen in the blood. In addition, there is integration with Fitbit services. Other options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, eSIM (optional), GPS and Google Fi compatibility.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The Google Pixel Watch with eSIM support cost $400. The basic variant costs $50 cheaper. The watch will go on sale in the U.S. on October 13 in Chalk, Charcoal, Hazel and Obsidian colors. Buyers will get six months of free Fitbit Premium subscriptions and three months of YouTube Music Premium.
