ASUS announced the debut of ROG Strix gaming notebooks equipped with 18" screens
The ROG Strix line of gaming laptops has been expanded for the first time with 18" diagonal displays. ASUS at CES 2023 unveiled the new ROG Strix Scar 18 and ROG Strix G 18.
Here's What We Know
The notebooks are powered by 13th generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA graphics cards. The base variant gets GeForce RTX 3050 graphics and a 64Wh battery, while the top-end variant gets GeForce RTX 40 and a 90Wh battery. Maximum RAM is 64GB (DDR5) and SSD storage is 4TB (PCIe Gen 4).
The ROG Strix Scar 18 and ROG Strix G 18 will be available with Full HD / QHD panels with 165 / 240Hz frame rates, respectively. The top-end versions have ASUS Nebula HDR displays that feature 1,100 nits of brightness and Dolby Vision support.
The ROG Strix series has been updated with the 16" Strix G and Scar models. Technically, they don't differ from the laptops we wrote about above. ASUS also introduced 17" laptops, which will be available with AMD processors.
There is no information about the price and timing of the appearance of laptops on the market.
