ASUS has finally made a full-fledged presentation of the ROG Ally gaming console. And the manufacturer is positioning it as the first ROG series handheld with Windows 11.

Here's What We Know

ASUS ROG Ally is designed for AAA games with Full HD resolution. To that end, the portable gaming computer is equipped with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. It features Zen 4 cores up to 5.1GHz and RDNA 3 graphics chip. Performance reaches 8.6 TFLOPS.

The novelty features 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a 512GB NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD. A microSD card slot allows for storage expansion. The battery capacity is 40Wh.

The ASUS ROG Ally has a Full HD IPS display with a 16-to-9 aspect ratio. The 7-inch screen displays 100% of the sRGB colour gamut, 500 nits brightness, 7ms response time, and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports Dolby Vision HDR, FreeSync Premium and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

The sound subsystem features two Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers. Artificial Intelligence is responsible for eliminating noise. There is also Hi-Res certification. Other highlights include a built-in fingerprint scanner, 65W fast charging (PD 3.0) via USB-C, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E. The software platform is the Windows 11 operating system.

The PRO mode deserves special attention. It allows the ASUS ROG Ally to be paired with the XG Mobile docking station, which includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card in maximum modification.
