AMD unveiled the Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card starting at $499 to compete with the GeForce RTX 4070
Together with Radeon RX 7700 XT AMD announced another mid-range video card. The second novelty is called Radeon RX 7800 XT.
Here's What We Know
The model received a full Navi 32 processor with 60 computational blocks, 3840 stream processors, 60 RT-blocks and 120 blocks of artificial intelligence acceleration. The chip has a frequency of 2430 MHz in Boost mode.
Radeon RX 7800 XT received 16 GB of video memory of GDDR6 type with a speed of 19.5 Gbps. The 256-bit bus connection provides a maximum bandwidth of 624 GB/s. Power consumption is 263W.
According to the manufacturer, Radeon RX 7800 XT is 3.5% more powerful on average compared to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 in QHD games at maximum graphics settings. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Cyberpunk 2077, the advantage reaches 23%. But when ray tracing technology is activated, the "green" video card takes revenge in some games.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Radeon RX 7800 XT unlike Radeon RX 7700 XT will be available in reference version. It will cost a minimum of $499 in the US and €549 in Europe. For comparison, NVIDIA has priced the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card at $599.
