Samsung has unveiled the $1370 S49CG932SC curved 5K monitor as a cheaper alternative to the Odyssey OLED G9 S49CG954SC
A new monitor has appeared in the range of the South Korean company Samsung. It has the designation S49CG932SC and became a simplified version of the Odyssey OLED G9 S49CG954SC model, which was announced in early summer 2023.
Here's What We Know
The monitor features a curved display with a 1800R radius of curvature. The diagonal is 49", the aspect ratio is 32 to 9, and the resolution is 5120 x 1440 pixels (Dual Quad HD). The screen supports a frame refresh rate of 240Hz and has a response time of 0.03ms.
The QLED Quantum Dot technology provides a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The 10-bit matrix displays 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space. The company also claims to support AMD FreeSync Premium technology.
To connect computers and game consoles, the novelty has HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. At the back there is a round RGB-backlight.
Samsung g-presented a new monitor in China. The cost was $1370.
