Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple to introduce AirPods Pro with USB-C charging port this year
We've written more than once that Apple plans to add a USB-C port to the iPhone this year. It looks like the new connector will also get another of the company's gadgets.
Here's What We Know
We're talking about the second-generation AirPods Pro fully wireless earphones. The model now has a case with a proprietary Lightning connector. According to Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the case with USB-C port will be released later this year. It is possible that it will be unveiled alongside the iPhone 15 in autumn.
I think this is likely the USB-C version of the AirPods Pro 2, with mass shipments expected in 2Q23-3Q23. By the way, Apple currently appears to have no plans for USB-C versions of the AirPods 2 & 3.

As for the other specs of the AirPods Pro, they won't change. The earbuds will get a proprietary H2 processor, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), transparency mode, speakers and support for Find My. The price of the device will not change - $249.
Incidentally, as for the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3, Apple has no plans to migrate these earphone models to USB-C yet.
