Lockheed Martin has received nearly $606.8 million to procure components to produce 173 F-35 Lightning II fifth-generation fighter jets

The US Department of Defence has allocated more than $600 million to Lockheed Martin to support the production of the fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighter jets. This was announced on the official website of the Pentagon.

Here's What We Know

The amount of the deal was $606.8 million. The agreement is aimed at ensuring long-term supplies of materials, components and parts for the production of Lot 19 of the fighter jets. Lot 19 includes 173 F-35 aircraft.

The term expires in January 2028. Work will take place at Lockheed Martin facilities in Texas, Florida, Baltimore, Maryland and California, as well as outside the mainland, including Italy and the US.
