To replace the F-16 Fighting Falcon: the US wants to develop a light attack aircraft based on the Boeing T-7 A Red Hawk aircraft
The US Air Force wants to create a new attack aircraft based on the T-7 A Red Hawk trainer aircraft.
Here's What We Know
This was reported by the publication Breaking Defence, referring to representatives of the US Air Force. We are talking about an inexpensive light attack aircraft, which will be able to replace some of the old fighters F-16 Fighting Falcon.
The U.S. Air Force has not yet officially submitted such a request to Boeing, but if it happens, it will not take long to convert the T-7 A Red Hawk into a light attack aircraft. All thanks to the aircraft's modular design.
