German cybersecurity agency started checking Xiaomi smartphone
Last week, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense urged users to reject Xiaomi smartphones, as they have an integrated censor. The manufacturer promptly responded to the accusations and stated that its devices "do not censor user communication".
But it is not only the Lithuanian military department that has raised suspicions about Xiaomi smartphones. This time, the German Federal Cybersecurity Surveillance Agency has taken up an inspection of one of the company's Chinese models.
So far, there is no information what kind of device the German experts are studying. What made them suspicious is also not reported. Now we have to wait for an official statement from the German agency, but for now it is limited to the general formulation "technical examination".
