NVIDIA to retire popular GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti may soon become a thing of the past. The American company will take the popular graphics card out of production.
Here's What We Know
It is possible that this decision is due to the fact that in less than two weeks a new model should appear on the market. So, on May 24, GeForce RTX 4060 Ti generation Ada Lovelace graphics card is expected to be released.
It is assumed that the new model of the RTX 40 series will cost around $460. In this case, the decision to discontinue production of the RTX 3060 Ti looks very logical for NVIDIA, as the Turing generation model has an MSRP of $400 and will create competition for the new graphics card.
Naturally, sales of the RTX 3060 Ti will not cease overnight once production is discontinued. The 2020 graphics card will probably remain on the market until all stocks are sold out. And that could take a few weeks or even months.
