Qualcomm announces Snapdragon Summit date: awaiting release of flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor
Qualcomm has, unexpectedly, announced the date of its annual Snapdragon Summit event.

According to the manufacturer's official invitation, the summit will take place on October 24-26. As usual, the event will be held in Hawaii.

Here's What We Know
As usual, the main highlight will be the release of a new flagship processor. The SoC will be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chip goes by the Lanai/Pineapple codename and model number SM8650. The processor is credited with an updated 2+3+2+1 core layout. The chip will not support 32-bit applications. Besides, it will get Adreno 750 graphics and will be compatible with smartphones running Android 14 (Linux Kernel 6.1). Qualcomm plans to manufacture the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 using TSMC's 4nm processor or Samsung's 3nm processor.
