iOS 17 will allow you to reset a recently changed but forgotten iPhone password: how does it work?
Apple recently unveiled iOS 17 for its smartphones, but for now it is only available as a beta for developers. So it's no surprise that testers keep finding new features that Apple kept quiet about during the presentation.
Here's What's New About It
Interesting and useful for many forgetful users in iOS 17 will be a feature to reset a recently changed password. If you've changed your password, but forget the new one, you can reset it within 72 hours. But this will only work if you enter the old password - the one you changed up to 72 hours ago.
For security reasons, this function can be disabled by erasing the previous access code in the settings.
By the way, a stable version of iOS 17 is expected to be released in the fall, along with the announcement of the iPhone 15 line of smartphones.
