Apple cuts iPhone 15 production ahead of official launch - analyst
Analyst Jeff Pu sent a note to investors warning them about the iPhone 15 smartphone production cuts. There are several reasons for this.
Here's What We Know
Previously, it was estimated that the company would ship around 83 million units of the iPhone 15. Now an analyst says that Apple will cut production by 6 million units - to 77 million smartphones.
As it turned out, the company had problems with mass production of some components. For example, Sony's camera sensors, the new titanium frame for Pro models and the new display with thinner bezels may delay the production of the iPhone 15.
The second reason is the decline in demand. To this, the analyst is sure, can lead to an increase in prices for the top models of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
"The build plan cut before launch isn’t a positive signal, and the potential price hike for iPhone 15 Pro Max could also dampen the end-demand", Jeff Poo reported.
The iPhone 15 lineup is expected to be officially unveiled in mid-September.
