A user sent in a Steam Deck game console for repair and got... a turkey fryer
A funny incident happened to one Reddit user after his Steam Deck handheld gaming console broke down.
Here's What He Said
According to the user, after the repair, he received a box that was much larger in size than the Steam Deck packaging. When he opened it, he found not only a repaired console inside, but also a brand new Butterball turkey fryer.
The most interesting thing is that Valve denies everything: the company responded to their customer that he himself sent them the fryer, and the representatives of the company just returned it back. But the user assures that he didn't do it, because why would he need to spend extra money for shipping?
One possible theory is that Valve uses the wholesale trading company Ingram Micro (IG) for distribution and logistics. IG has ties to many major retailers, including Amazon and Walmart, so its warehouses are filled with various types of merchandise. Most likely, IG accidentally combined two orders and added someone else's fryer to Steam Deck. So it looks like someone's Thanksgiving went by without a tasty turkey.
