Konami postpones release of remasters of classic RPGs Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 2
Konami's return to the forefront of gaming has seen the Japanese company bring back many of its favourite dormant franchises. Last year, it set a release date for the RPG Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars for 2023, but it seems that the games will be delayed.
Here's What We Know
"We have reached the conclusion that despite the very best efforts of our dedicated development staff to release the remasters in 2023, additional time is needed to ensure the quality performance and gameplay experience our users deserve. The entire Suikoden team is renewing our efforts to bring Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster to release as soon as possible."

Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster will include new background artwork, updated animations, new environmental sound effects, improved battle effects, and additional "quality of life amenities" such as auto-save, conversation log, and fast forward during battles.
When We Can Expect It
Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and will be supported on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series via backwards compatibility. Konami has not announced an updated release date.
