Cross-platform multiplayer mode in Baldur's Gate III is in development
After a successful PC launch, Baldur's Gate III was released on PlayStation 5. The game has received support for split-screen co-op and cross-save, which will also appear in the Xbox Series version, which is due out later this year. Moreover, Larian Studios has confirmed that a multiplayer co-op mode is in development.
Here's What We Know
Michael Douse, the studio's director, told Eurogamer that the addition of crossplay was always in the plans, but the mode was not completed by the time of launch:

Previously, the developers have talked about the possibility of adding crossplay "post-launch" and now we have official confirmation, but there is no exact information on how long it might take, as work on expanding Origin's character epilogues and improving performance in Act 3 is also important to the developers.
