Collosal Order has 'learnt a lot' from feedback from Cities Skylines community

Expectations from Colossal Order regarding Cities Skylines 2 are definitely huge. In a recent interview with PCGamer, the developers revealed some aspects of the game's development and how they took into account the wishes of fans.

Here's What We Know

Designers Aura Laurila and Henri Haimakainen say that, for example, the road network tool has been redesigned to give players more flexibility in creating their own virtual cityscapes. Artificial traffic intelligence has also been improved and mixed-use buildings have been introduced, among numerous other enhancements.

"We’ve learned a lot from the feedback from the community and the wishes from the fans.People wanted to have a new traffic AI, and people really wanted to have mixed-zone buildings, as well as roundabouts"

The developers also explained the updated economic system, which should become much easier to learn, but remain as complex as ever to fully master:

"because we wanted the game to be, in a sense, that you can be a beginner and still feel good playing the game—so the game supports your first goes and you don’t bankrupt your cities, but we also wanted to have a complex system running underneath it.".

When We Can Expect It

The release of Cities: Skylines 2 on PC is scheduled for the 24th of October.
