Dan Houser's new studio Absurd Ventures has revealed the first details of two debut projects, and they're not video games
Unexpectedly these days Absurd Ventures, a studio founded by former Rockstar Games CEO Dan Houser, has found itself in the spotlight.
A few days ago it became known that Absurd Ventures registered two trademarks and the public reasonably assumed that these would be the first games of the new team.
Here's What We Know
Absurd Ventures studio published information about the debut projects and it turned out that they are not about the game industry.
American Caper is a graphic novel in a dystopian style, which will tell the story of two American families mired in a world of corruption, crime and political intrigue. The book is illustrated by acclaimed artist Simon Bisley.
A Better Paradise is a 12 episode audio production. It will be an existential thriller in the setting of the not-too-distant future. The project is created in close co-operation with the famous company QCODE Media.

Absurd Ventures is intrigued by the statement that "this is just the beginning" and the studio will share more details about said projects and its plans in general in the coming months.
Apparently, Dan Hauser and his colleagues are aiming at multimedia and reaching a wide audience, although it can't be ruled out that even the above projects won't start developing games soon. Especially since Hauser has a wealth of experience of his own to draw upon and is assembling a solid team made up of Rockstar Games veterans.
