Behaviour Interactive, the developer of Dead by Daylight, has laid off about 45 employees

The layoffs in the gaming industry continue: we recently wrote about layoffs at Unity, Twitch, and Discord, and today it became known that the developer of the Dead by Daylight series of games, Behaviour Interactive, according to Kotaku, has laid off about 45 employees.

Here's What We Know

In a statement, Behavior Interactive said:

Recently, changing market conditions necessitated adjusting the scope of several Behaviour projects.In these situations, our preference is always to reassign talent to other projects. Unfortunately, this option is not always available to us. These departures represented less than 3% of our total workforce.

Flashback

In a little over two weeks in 2024, more than 3,000 people in the gaming industry have already lost their jobs, with companies such as Unity, Twitch, Discord, CI Games, Lost Boys Interactive, Thunderful Group, and others affected by layoffs. Over 6,000 jobs were cut in 2023, which was already devastating in terms of layoffs.
