Insider: there will be no open world in the new Mass Effect: BioWare will return to the concept of the first games in the series
On the air of The Xbox Two podcast, famous insider and journalist Jez Corden shared interesting information about the new part of the famous series of space role-playing games Mass Effect.
Here's What We Know
Jez Corden learned that BioWare studio has abandoned the structure of a large open world and in the development of the new game is focused on the concept of the original trilogy about Commander Shepard.
This decision is probably due to justified criticism of Mass Effect: Andromeda, which was released in 2017 and offered players to travel through several large-scale, but empty and uninteresting locations, due to which the gameplay of the game was boring and monotonous.
It is worth noting that another BioWare game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, released in 2014, faced the same problem. Therefore, the decision to abandon the large open world in Mass Effect 5 (conditional title) can play in favour of the quality of the game.
Almost nothing is known about the game itself, most likely, the developers will share new Mass Effect 5 details on 7 November - the day of N7, when the traditional Mass Effect fan holiday takes place.
