French insider and blogger j0nathan joined Tom Henderson in leaking information about Assassin's Creed Red and released a video in which he named some more interesting facts about the new game in the setting of feudal Japan.
Here's What We Know
According to j0nathan, in Assassin's Creed Red:
- The map will be larger than in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but smaller than in Assassin's Creed Odyssey;
- there will be fewer markers on the map of the new game, which should encourage players to explore locations on their own;
- the graphics in Assassin's Creed Red are more impressive than in previous instalments of the series, but inferior to Ubisoft's ambitious action game Star Wars Outlaws;
- NPCs in the game will be more combat capable and will offer decent resistance;
- for the first time in the Assassin's Creed series, characters will be able to crawl on the ground and assume combat stances;
- Ubisoft will add a boarding hook to Red, as in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Ghost of Tsushima;
- there will be many more stealth options, light sources can be destroyed or extinguished and you can hide in the dark;
- some enemies can be recruited and used as spies;
- Shinobi girl Naoe will have kunai, smoke bombs, shurikens and bells at her disposal.
When We Can Expect It
Assassin's Creed Red is due for release in autumn 2024, but the game could be pushed back to 2025.
