The developers of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have no plans to release DLC, instead they will start work on a brand new project

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released in May 2023 on Nintendo Switch and received the highest critical acclaim and gamer reviews.

Surely many players expected that, like the previous part, a large amount of DLC will be released for the new game, but this will not happen.

Here's What We Know

According to the producer of The Legend of Zelda franchise Eiji Aonuma in an interview with Famitsu portal, the developers of Tears of the Kingdom do not plan to release additions to the game. Instead, the team will focus on either a full-fledged continuation of the series or a completely new project within The Legend of Zelda franchise.

Either way, the developers hope that fans of the series will look forward to their next game.
