The creators of Until Dawn have joined the Nordisk Games family. Now they are together with the authors of Just Cause
Supermassive Games is a studio that made a name for itself on the interactive "cinema" Until Dawn, The Quary and the anthology The Dark Pictures. Now she has a "father": the company Supermassive was bought by Nordisk Games.
Nordisk Games is an organization from Denmark that specializes in investments in European studios. Nordisk already includes a number of game studios, including the well-known Avalanche Studios Gtoup and MercurySteam.
Cooperation between the companies began earlier: in March 2021, Nordisk acquired 30.7% of Supermassive shares. Now the fate has reached 100%. As specified in the press release, Supermassive turned out to be the third studio that Nordisk fully owns.
Supermassive is currently preparing the release of The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me and appears to be busy with anthology season. Judging by the parties' comments, Nordisk expects that Supermassive Games will continue to develop games with a strong emphasis on story.
Last year we announced our partnership with Nordisk Games.
