Previously, we reported that Crystal Dynamics, after moving from Square Enix to Embracer Group, got the full rights to the Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain series.
Now it has become known that the second western studio, acquired by the Swedish holding company from Square Enix, announced similar news. From now on, the rights to Deus Ex, Thief and a number of other smaller games have gone to Eidos Montréal. The Canadian studio has gained ownership and control of major elements that will ever appear in the games of these franchises.
Eidos Montréal is rumored to be planning a return to the Deus Ex series, but is currently busy with another major project.
