Tough year for the video game industry: the number of gamers in 2022 will decrease by 150 million people

Such regression is recorded for the first time in the history of video games! According to the published data the number of gamers in 2022 will decrease by 150 million people.
The most likely reasons include the end of quarantine, employees leaving the offices, regulatory problems, and more.
In 2023, the number of users is projected to recover to 2021 numbers. By the way, the number of players is currently about 2.46 billion people.

- Downloadable games this year attract 4% fewer users than in 2021. There are now 1.17 billion players, but in 2023 that number will rise to 1.22 billion users;
