"Silent Hill 2 Remake is created with great care and respect for the original," said Bloober Team studio head
The Polish studio Bloober Team released a short video, in which the company's head Piotr Babieno and lead designer Mateusz Lenart talked about their approach to the remake of the cult horror game Silent Hill 2.
They admitted that they respect the original Japanese game and that it was a real discovery for them. The Polish game designers want to keep the atmosphere, mood and the main mechanics of Silent Hill, but they also realize that the modern audience has higher demands and the remake should meet all quality standards.
The Bloober Team is happy to have Masahiro Ito, one of the creators of the original Silent Hill 2, helping out. They also brought in composer Akira Yamaoka, who was eager to update the game's soundtrack while preserving its recognizable style.
SILENT HILL 2 is a beloved and timeless classic. No matter how clichéd it may sound, it's true. This is also the reason why we approach working on the remake with such great care and respect for the original game.
