During the consideration of the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, the first information from Sony about the approximate release date of the console PlayStation 6
During the proceedings on the terms and consequences of the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, Sony submitted a document to the regulatory commission, in which analyst Piers Harding-Rolls found interesting information that concerns the PlayStation 6 console.
Here's What We Know
The Japanese company predicts that it will lose access to the Call of Duty series by 2027 if it approves the purchase of Activision Blizzard. This circumstance would put Sony at a disadvantage before the launch of the next-generation PlayStation 6 (the name is tentative) consoles.
Thus, we can logically conclude that the appearance of novelty PlayStation will take place in 2027-2028.
Indirectly it confirms the life cycle of the last generation console PlayStation 4, which was 7 years. PS5 appeared on the market in 2020, add 7 years and we have the same 2027.
Sony referred to a next generation of PlayStation console in its CMA response, with the suggested year of release being redacted
