In the struggle for Activision Blizzard, Microsoft leaked Rockstar Games plans: the approximate release date of Grand Theft Auto VI has been revealed!
The deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard began to bring a lot of interesting information that touches on important topics for the gaming industry.
So, in one of the documents Microsoft filed with the Regulatory Commission, there was a mention of the PlayStation 6 and its expected release date.
Now we know about an equally important release.
Here's What We Know
Microsoft is trying to prove that Sony will not lose competitiveness in the gaming market, even if it loses Call of Duty (although Phil Spencer argues that he is not going to deprive PlayStation users of the popular shooter from Activision). For the sake of argument, the U.S. corporation lists a large number of high-end games from Sony's internal studios, and even openly admits that many of them than Xbox exclusives.
In addition to Sony's own games, Microsoft mentions third-party projects that will be available on the PlayStation. As an argument, the U.S. corporation cites Rockstar Games with its super-expected release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Most interesting is that Microsoft has named its release date:
The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI is due out in 2024.
This information hasn't been confirmed yet, but:
a) there is no doubt that Microsoft has the necessary information about all the upcoming games of its partners and competitors;
b) this date looks totally realistic, as the recent leaks of Grand Theft Auto VI clearly demonstrated.
