Finally, when the game was released on Steam, it sold 300k copies in a few days and was added to the wishlist by a million more users.

For a week Dwarf Fortress has brought its developers 9 million dollars (30% of which will have to give Valve).

But it is unknown if the developers are planning to release Dwarf Fortress 2 and, most importantly, when gamers will wait for it, because 20 years for the game - it's certainly too much.
