Since the introduction of Counter-Strike, all versions of Valve's online shooter have been hugely popular.
The latest iteration of the famous game, subtitled Global Offensive, was released over a decade ago, and it seemed like its best days were in the past.

Yesterday (February 10), the Revolution Case update was released for CS:GO, which added many new cosmetic items to the game.
As a consequence, gamers' interest in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive surged, and the game broke a new attendance record.
SteamDB recorded 1,320,219 concurrent players, and that figure is 12,000 more than the previous record set in 2020.
