Sons of the Forest sold 2 million copies in the first 24 hours after the launch
The horror-survival game Sons of the Forest has become a historic launch for the developer Endnight, as it sold more than two million copies in the first day after the game's release in early access. The developer told about this on his Twitter account:
Hey Everyone,
- Endnight Games (@EndNightGame) 24 February 2023
Thanks to those who have joined us on our Early Access journey into 'Sons Of The Forest' We have sold over 2 million copies in the first 24 hours, and are very excited for what we have in store for players in the coming weeks.

Despite the fact that the game had a very small advertising budget, according to SteamDB, the peak online of Sons of the Forest reached 411,999 players, which is even more than the long-awaited and hyped Hogwarts Legacy. Of course, it's not right to judge a game based on peak online data on Steam alone, but this is another confirmation of the success of the Endnight project.
