Steady 60 FPS at 4K resolution: Diablo IV development manager promises excellent performance on current-gen consoles
Following the negative information about the low frame rate and performance of Starfield and Redfall on Xbox Series consoles, many users have speculated that a similar situation could await other modern projects, particularly Diablo IV.
Diablo IV franchise manager Rod Fergusson, in a podcast on the official Xbox Twitch channel, assured that Blizzard's new game runs great on consoles. He said Xbox Series X users can expect 60 FPS at 4K resolution, while on Series S the high frame rate is available at 1080p resolution.
The game will likely run the same on the PlayStation 5 as it does on the Xbox Series X, so gamers who prefer Japanese consoles need not worry.
Also, Rod Fergusson reminded that navigating through the open world in Diablo IV is implemented without a single loading screen, but how the game will run on consoles of the previous generation, Fergusson was silent.
When We Can Expect It
Diablo IV went "gold" yesterday, so the game will definitely be released on June 6 on PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4.
