Here's What We Know
Sony has announced the acquisition of Firewalk Studios, with whom it began working two years ago.
The team is developing a big-budget service game for PlayStation 5, and it seems the Japanese giant is so pleased with the quality and pace of Firewalk Studios' work that it made an offer that the developers couldn't refuse.
The amount of the deal has not yet been announced.
Here's what the official announcement says:
Firewalk will work with world-class development teams, including Bungie and Haven Interactive Studios, to determine the future of service games for PlayStation users
Firewalk Studios was founded in 2018, with a team of around 150 employees.
For PlayStation Studios, it will be the twentieth division.
